Competition
Build a tournament and its stages
Compose pools, Swiss, and elimination into a published competition structure.
Create the tournament event
Choose the Tournament preset or enable the module in Settings. Open Tournament for Structure, Entrants, and Tournament diagram. Team Play is optional: every entrant is a named tournament roster, including individuals as teams of one.
Design the stage order
Choose a preset and entrant capacity from 2 to 128, initially eight. Presets cover single/double elimination, round robin, pools into elimination, and Swiss with an optional elimination finish. Customize or reorder stages before starting. The diagram previews unnamed slots, pools, both brackets, advancement dependencies, and conditional reset finals without creating matches.
Configure each stage
Choose scoring, seeding, pools or round counts where applicable, points for results, ordered tiebreakers, advancement counts, and the no-show policy. Double elimination includes a grand-final reset option. Optional resources represent courts or tables.
Review and publish
Save the structure, then add named entrants using group players or explicitly created guests. You may copy an accepted team into an independent roster. Name, roster, and seed are editable before starting; deleting an entrant frees its slot and retains player identities. Start tournament requires at least two actual entrants, freezes the published structure, and creates available matches. Empty slots become byes without played matches or ratings.
Advance and finish
Finalize matches through the shared match controls. Results automatically update standings, resolve bracket dependencies, create the next Swiss round, and advance between stages. Continue tournament resumes a previously completed stage awaiting advancement. Withdraw entrant preserves played results and forfeits remaining obligations. Assign courts, tables, and times manually. The diagram supports scrolling, zoom, and a list view.
Handle an upstream correction
Correct an earlier result only after considering downstream play. Unplayed dependent matches can be rebuilt. If a dependent game has started or finished, Eventus reports a conflict; resolve later results backward from the final before changing the source.
Bracket layout is generated from the stage format and seeding. Reordering stages is a setup action, not a way to silently rearrange already-played history.
