User data deletion

Request deletion of your Eventus account or personal information, including data received from Facebook.

Last updated

You can request deletion without signing in to Eventus. Requests are handled manually by George Barsukov. There is currently no automatic account-deletion button.

Send a deletion request

Email Georgebarsukov@gmail.com with the subject Eventus data deletion request.

Write a deletion request

This opens your email application. Nothing is submitted until you send the email. You can also copy the address and write the email yourself.

What to include

  1. Your Eventus account email address and display name. Send the request from that email address if you can.
  2. Whether you want to delete your entire Eventus account, remove Facebook-related data and the Facebook sign-in connection, or delete particular information.
  3. Any group or event names that help us find the relevant records. If you participated as a guest without an account, include the name you used and the organizer or event.

If you cannot access your account email, explain that in the request so we can discuss another way to verify ownership. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, access tokens, or identity documents in your initial email.

What happens next

  1. We review the request and may ask for limited information to verify account ownership and clarify what you want removed.
  2. We identify the account, provider connections, profile information, and relevant content. If you own a group, we discuss any ownership transfer needed to avoid disrupting other members.
  3. We process the verified request manually, removing or anonymizing information where appropriate. Full account deletion includes reviewing sign-in credentials, provider tokens, sessions, profile details, and other personal records. We also review any retained copies or backups.
  4. We reply to explain what was completed and any information that must remain, with the reason. If more time or information is needed, we explain that in our response.

Sending a request does not instantly delete an account. You can ask for a status update by replying to the same email thread. We handle requests in accordance with applicable requirements.

Shared history and retained records

Match results, tournament records, shared messages, security and audit records, and payment records may involve other participants or need to be retained for a specific purpose. We review whether identifying information can be removed or anonymized while preserving necessary shared history. We will explain any limits on deletion. Copies independently saved by other people are outside Eventus's control.

Remove Facebook access

In Facebook, open Settings → Apps and websites, find Eventus, and choose Remove. Menu names may vary by device. This removes the connection in Facebook; it does not itself submit an Eventus deletion request or erase data already stored here.

To delete that stored data, send the email request above and specify Facebook-related data or your entire Eventus account. Removing only the Facebook connection can affect how you sign in, so mention if it is your only sign-in method. An Eventus deletion request does not delete your Facebook or Google account.
