People

Link a guest to an account

Keep the same player and preserve their attendance, matches, and ratings.

  1. Choose the correct person

An owner opens People and searches by any part of the player’s name. Compare events attended, last attendance, and permitted private tags when names are duplicated. Names alone never identify an account.

  2. Create a player link

For an unlinked guest, choose Create link. Copy the displayed URL and share it directly with that person. The link expires in seven days; creating a replacement invalidates earlier unused links. Revoke cancels outstanding links.

  3. Accept the identity

The recipient opens the link, signs in or creates an account, and checks the displayed player and group. Link my player and join attaches that existing player to the account and grants ordinary membership. Existing elevated roles are preserved.

  4. Resolve conflicts

An expired or used link needs a new owner-issued link. If the account already has a player in the same group, contact an owner before continuing. Eventus will not automatically merge two histories.

One user can have different players in different groups. Linking preserves the existing player ID and historical records. Only accept a player identity that represents you.
