Getting started

Create and manage a group

Bring members, guests, events, and history into one community.

  1. Create your community

Open Home → Groups and expand Create a group. Choose a name and a unique lowercase URL name. Describe who the group is for, choose categories and public tags, and select its home city or mark it as Online.

  2. Choose access rules

Public groups appear in search. Unlisted groups can be reached by link. Private groups require eligible membership or an invitation. The joining rule is separate: Open allows joining, Approval requires an owner’s decision, and Invite requires an invitation.

  3. Manage people

Open People to see guests alongside account members. A member can organize without being a player. Linked players retain their group-specific ratings and history. Owners can add/import players and manage member invitations and roles.

  4. Share and organize

Overview shows the next events and group chat. Share this community opens Events; Copy link copies the current shareable destination. Create events from Events. Settings contains images, discovery details, ownership, bans, and Audit.

  5. Assign responsibility

Secondary owners can run the group and appoint event hosts. Only the primary owner can manage other owners or transfer primary ownership. Event hosts manage only their assigned events.

The People directory is for group members and owners. Private player tags and notes are visible only to authorized organizers. Public group tags are different and appear in discovery.
